Hello y'all, I'm Scott and I'm a lifetime Jaguar lover (does that sound like a 12-step meeting intro? lol) though up to now it's been a love unrequited. I came across an opportunity to buy what seems to be a very well-maintained X-type and have lurked on the forum for the last two weeks to get an idea of what I might be getting myself into; it's been invaluable in giving me the knowledge I needed to properly evaluate the Cat I've been looking at. Long story short, I learned enough to know that it's a sweetie and (most importantly) made it possible to convince the missus! Thanks to y'all and what I've learned, I'll be picking up "le Chaton" (wife is French, soooo...) next weekend.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks Graham, I'll head over to the regional forum to see what's going on and see if anyone's heard of the local independent Euro car repair shop....they seem to have no shortage of business judging by the number of cars I see pass through on my way to work every day (mostly German but I've seen a few Jaguars too).
