Hi, all--
Long-time lurker (close to a couple years), first-time member/poster. Picked up my first XJ (X350) a year and a half ago as a fixer-upper; the best $500 car I've ever owned! It's turned out to be a terrific car to pile on the miles, after getting it nicely sorted. I've learned plenty along the way, and I look forward to being able to share with others!
I've always had a soft spot for Jaguars, even from my childhood in the 1970s. Fell of my bicycle as a four year-old when the next door neighbor pulled into the shared driveway with his E-Type, and I've never been the same. ;-) An XJ has been on my lifelong vehicular bucket list since I was a kid, so it's nice to be able to have this one fall into my lap.

Welcome to the forums Paul,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Hello, Paul,
That's the thing about Jags (or any car for that matter). They require care. Most people these days seem to not want to give their car any more attention than to keep the tank about half full. Then when stuff goes wrong or something falls off, they ignore it and work around it, until so many things are wrong the car is a mess! Then they throw it away.
Congratulations on bringing your new Jag back from the dead. As you have discovered, these are really good cars as long as they're cared for. It's shown its appreciation by giving you dependability and reliability.
Great story about the E-type!
