Default New member - looking for an xk / xkr - advice

Good Morning all, I have just signed up as I am currently on the lookout for an XK / XKR and just want some basic advice.

Want to spend between 15k - 17k.

Are there any common issues I should look out for, and is the XKR really worth the extra over and above the XK.

I am also torn between the convertible and the coupe, but looking more towards the coupe as need to carry golf clubs etc in the rear.

Any advice welcome

Welcome.

Depending on year, the Tech section for each has a "Buyers Guide" at the top, that will give most of the answers you seek.

Welcome to the forum Jay,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Those who have a convertible will tell you it's the one to have and those who have XKR's will tell you the S/C version is the only one to have. You'll see from my signature that I have a normally aspirated coupe and this suits my particular requirements perfectly.

Follow this link XK / XKR ( X150 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK/XKR forum for help, advice and information.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link UK & Eire - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Jay,
For me there would be no question; Convertible hands down. But then, I don't do golf clubs.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Hi Jay, Iv'e just bought the XKR convertable 1999, can get 3 sets of golf clubs in the boot. jaguar designed the boot space for that purpose. Depending on the year of XKR you are looking for depends on what problems to look for. Check the forum XKR specific site for answers
