Hello everyone. My name is Guy and I live in Edmonton - Alberta's capital city. I have just purchased a new F-Type Base in Pearl White and so far the 400 Km on it have been fun! Having owned two Porsche Boxsters over the years (a 2000 and a 2007) I am a little worried about the reliability of the Jag, but love its looks, interior and power. I was also pleasantly surprised by its stiff ride which provides a real "performance" feel. Only time will tell.

Does anyone know of an after market chip set to bring the performance of the 3.0 V6 HP up even more?

welcome to the forum, you will find plenty of info and support here. Drive the car and you will be better served by it than if you were to keep it as a prize trophy only to drive once a week. Reliability/quality have improved considerably over the years it is just that most people are still locked into the stigma of older model Jags which had their fair share of issues of issues.

Recommend checking out the F-Type section for info on possible chip upgrades: F-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Recommend checking out the Canadian regional section for local news/events:
Canada - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

lastly - recommend adding a signature to your profile by clicking the User CP link in the upper left - include model and year for best responses from forum techs.

Enjoy

Welcome from a fellow Canadian!

Jag reliability was an issue in the past. They're as good as or better than anything else on the road.

Welcome Guy,
In the last year, I've spent more on my wife's 4 year old Honda then my 15 year old Jag.

Welcome from fellow Edmontonionian. made the right call to move form porsche to the Jag. Not as many F's floating around. (compared to Porsche) Can't comment on the reliability of the F-Type, but if you are used to to the Porsche, it cant be any worse....... :-)
