New Member from PA - 2005 X-Type AWD 3L
Hi guys... my dad just gave me his 2005 x-type... It has some issues, but I really like it already. When I got to my dad's house, he told me that the radiator fan was not working. I replaced the 5amp fuse (F17) and it seems good now. Took it out for a test drive and the check engine starts to flash... it was a misfire on cylinder #5... so I replaced the coil and all the plugs just for good measure. Seems ok now... drove 635 miles back to my house... got some codes P0420 and P0430 cat system efficiency below threshold bank 1 and bank 2
Probably need to replace the catalytic converters.
Well... I'll probably be on here a lot, asking for advice... there are other issues that I will work on in the future.
