Hi all,

I am a fan of cars with a british origin.
First one i bought in UK was a Bentley Turbo R 1988
Second one was a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II
a Jaguar XJ 1982
a Rover P6 1976
a Range Rover 4.0 SE 2000
And lately a Jaguar S-type 2.7 D.

With all cars i had my challenges. Mainly electronics.

In the Range Rover i am still fighting all the glitches of the EAS (air suspension).
In the S-type it is the EPB I can't control up till now (see my other thread on this)

But i must say... I bought the car in an auction. I was looking for a car for daily work and many kilometers. I was really surprised with this Jag. It is a wonderful drive.
I already done some work on the Jag. Switched the EPB motor (which was actually quite easy, took me an hour. But you do need a ramp), blocked the EGR's, changed rear disks and usual maintenance.

So, i am looking forward to share what i know to help you and hope that you can share what you know to help me.

Regards, Aldert

Welcome.

Well done.

That air suspension is a marvel of nonsense, and I doubt any have really sorted it.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum Aldert,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link

Enjoy the forums.

And, congratulations on your successful repairs! It's massively encouraging, isn't it.
