Hi everyone, thanks for having me. This is my first Jaguar. I used to own a couple of Triumphs and a MG when I was a younger man back in the UK, but now living the dream with my XKR convertible. Not sure if the wheels are correct?
One week in and started the long list of problems, I did buy the car to keep me busy!!!!!
First job was to clean the interior. Last owner used it as an ash tray with carpet burns aplenty.
I fixed the PCB in the passenger side door module. Thanks for the past posts on that subject.
I have the classic can't read disc in the clock GPS system. Not to worried about that. Probably will replace with a back up camera.
The old toggle switch for the mirrors. Took that apart, re-solded some traces but still no joy, Will probably have to find a replacement.
Having trouble with the micro switch in the drivers door latch. Replaced it with one suggested in the forum and soldered as shown but now when the door is closed the display thinks the door is open. More research required on that. Also Engine light is on. Won't put to many miles on the car until I find out the results of a scan.
Thanks again, Moosey.

Welcome to the forums Moosey,

Good to have you with us. Your XKR will not have left the factory with those wheels.

It sounds like you've already found the relevant model forum but if not, follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
