New member - very used Jag
Hello everyone!
I am from Switzerland, am 19 years old and this week on Tuesday I picked up my first car - a 2006 Jaguar S-Type 4.2L V8 in BRG.
She is quite something with 305'000km on the odometer and her last service was in 2016. Considering all of that and the price I paid - I am not gonna go into details about that but it is very low - she is in a very good nick. AC does not work and the park sensors do neither. To get her registered I just need to get MFK - Swiss MOT/inspecion.
And that for she will recieve a brand new set of front brake discs and pads, rear upper wishbones and rear shocks.
But enough about the car (I will post pictures later in the thread), let me introduce myself.
I was born in Germany and recently moved into Switzerland to start an apprenticeship. I am now officially on my way to becoming a car mechanic - and who knows, maybe at some point I might work at a Jaguar workshop.
But for now I am still "in training", you could say. I love photography, especially automotive. And once my Jag looks a bit better (got a clean and maybe a bit of polish), I will definitely deliver on some photos of her.
My dad got me into Jaguar. His first one was an X-Type 3.0, which had to get a new engine due to damage in the electrics, which caused the engine to run really bad.
That one was replaced with another X-Type. And eventually a 2005 x350 XJR LWB.
An absolutely amazing vehicle! He has also had 2 XJSs while also owning the XJR. One a convertible and one a coupe - but the coupe never got to actually go on the road sadly.
If you have any questions or anything like that, feel free to just ask away down below.
I am looking forward to getting to know all you Jaguar people.

My first check on how she's doing underneath - incredibly well!
An interior to fall for
Gotta make sure people know
The night I drove her home (Tuesday) and parked her at the shop
Welcome to the Forums.
My first car was a Jaguar, at 19 also, way back in 1968, oh what a feeling.
Good luck.
