Hi. I own a 1980 XJ6 which I bought seven years ago with only 49,000 miles on the clock. Still looks and runs great. it took me two years to find the car. Now I'm starting to look for a 2004 or 2005 XJR and I'd appreciate any advice on what to look for: any issues or recurring problems with this car? I understand that the plastic timing chain tensioner that had plagued the earlier jag V8's had been replaced by 2004...? The XJRs from this era seem to get good consumer reviews.

I've moved your ABS/Trac question to a new thread in X308 forum. Here's the direct link:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...please-143471/

I then found the same question from you in X350 model forum but have left that one where it is as the first answer to it was already posted.
