Default New Member - This is who I am.

Hello everyone,

I've been involved with Jaguars for more years than I care to remember (my father worked at the Castle Bromwich plant - Pressed Steel Fisher in those days - which got me initially interested). I've owned various XJ Series 1/2/3, XJ40, X300, X308, X Type, XJS, Limousine, Mk1, Mk2, & Mk 5's).

I currently have a Mk2 which half-way through restoration (I'm fitting a 4.2 XJ6 S3 engine, together with uprated brake, seats etc). I also currently own a 1998 XJR in Sapphire Blue Metallic, which has covered just 28,000 miles (The only previous owner was a Polish WW2 fighter pilot and when he bought it in West London he insisted that the speed limiter be removed !! He was in his late seventies at the time).

After I retired from the West Midlands Police I started specialising in the sale of low-mileage XJ's (S3 at the time). Most of my customers were members of the two main Jaguar Clubs. More recently I have got back into the same business - but this time specialising in XJ8's (just low mileage examples). It's getting very difficult to find good ones, however. I currently have a late (2002) Daimler V8 for sale with 61K and a FJSH and a Jaguar XJ8 3.2SE (also 2002) which has cevered 54K. The Daimler is Anthracite Metallic, whilst the Jaguar is Zircon Blue.

I live in the Solihull area (West Midlands) and hope, with my experience, that I may be able to assist other members with their queries.

Regards - Keith Quirk

Welcome to the forum Keith,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Thanks for an excellent Intro.

The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

So not only have you been hands-on with all my favourite cars, but you live in Mecca (or just up the road). Welcome aboard--I look forward to hearing something of your experiences.
