Default New owner of a 2003 XKR convertible

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. About a month ago I purchased a 2003 XKR convertible (pacific blue, dove interior, recaro seats, and blue top) with 75,000 miles. I'm enjoying the car immensely.

My previous car was a 1994 BMW 325i; which I also enjoyed driving. After putting over 100,000 miles on it I decided what I really wanted was a convertible jaguar.

I did research the car before hand and was aware of some of the quirks and maintenance issues. (I'm amazed that these cars still have cassette decks.) Last week I noticed a bit of fluid in the mesh in the overhead light assembly. So my first item of maintenance will be to replace the hydraulic hoses (I've got them on order and will be posting my experience on the XKR forum in a week or so). Props to the XKR forum members who have gone before on this issue and have posted detailed instructions on the hose replacement.

Welcome to the forum Drd? You might also want to look into the Hood pressure release valve modification whilst you are about it.

I would have loved to have found a blue/dove combination...definitely want to see a pic, to see what I missed out on. What wheels are on it?

Oh, in all my excitement, I forgot to say Welcome!

I found the info on the LSI Controls pressure relief valve; ordered it, and it sitting on my work bench. I also ordered the CGR hydraulic lines. Hopefully, I'll only have to do this once.
