Been involved in cars for many years, detail cars semi-professionally as a side gig. Network engineer as my day job, volunteer Fire Lieutenant as well. Some very unfortunate circumstances (which I won't go into detail) have led to me becoming the new owner of a 2015 F-Type R that belonged to my father. He purchased the car back in 2017 because of how unique it is compared to the typical Porsche or Benz SL that you see all the time, and it's quite the spec. In fact, the Florida owner who traded it in only did so to upgrade to the SVR. Dad always said he planned to use it and drive it, but being a perfectionist it sat in the garage with very little use for the last couple years. I plan to respect it and keep it as nice as possible, but it will be driven and enjoyed like it's meant to be and like I know he wanted to do.
It's a 2015, of course 5.0SC/ZF8. BRG over Camel which I think is one of the best combinations these came in. Also has the carbon ceramics, and I'm sure a couple other things I'm forgetting but it's pretty loaded. I've driven it a handful of times prior to this and have loved it, so I'm excited to really have it as my disposal, as much as the way it became mine still hurts pretty bad.
That's a quick shot of when I detailed it for him back in May of 2018. It's going to go through a full refresh pretty soon with a re-polish and removal of the old ceramic coating, before getting a newer, better coating on all the surfaces. Given the age and low mileage, I'll likely bring it in for fluid services at least until I have the tools etc. to do the work myself at some point in the (hopefully) near future. No real plans to modify it other than maybe a bit of window tint and a nice set of 3pc wheels to tweak the personality of it a bit.
Looking forward to learning and assisting in the community wherever I'm able.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar, no matter how it came to live with you.
Good thought, Driving it, as Jaguars are not meant to be Garage Queens (No car is really). It's a death sentence for them as they sit and rot unused.
