Default New in So Cal

So I finally jumped off the cliff..... I've been on the edge for nearly two years but working on home remodel etc.... My wife tells me she wants the "Jag" for her 50th.. I love her but not nearly enough to pop for a new one,, but we have looked at XK8's in the past and then an XKR... I though for her birthday,,, OK,, but secretly saying "I'm gonna get that supercharger to add to my collection" ,.... so I located a 2005 XKR in the color combo we like,,,, Silver w/ black top and gray interior.... its a clean Southern California car with 30K on the clock,,,, bought it from the 2nd owner,, he's had it over 2 1/2 years and put about 5k miles on it.....

Clean and drives nice... it has chromed 20" Montreals.,, other than that a stock XKR,,,,, love the torque!!!

Thanks for the info on this site, which helped steer me into buying a 4.2 w/ the 6 speed..... and all the refinements that came with the 4.2 upgrade.....

I'll be hanging around for a while, now!!

There are Many of us who sincerely feel the older Jags have the most personality.

Welcome to the forum B8mn1,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. It could be a short stay if your wife reads that line!

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
