New XJ8 Sport in the house
Just a quick shout. Just bought my first Jag yesterday. An 03 XJ8 Sport. Pretty clean car and no real issues thus far.
I'm a trucker from Iowa, originally Wisconsin. I'm into Harleys and do all my own work on them. I currently own a 2013 Heritage Softail Classic with a TC103 doing 103hp and 114ft.lbs. torque.
I'm also into guns, women, and my 3yo longhaired dachshund is my best buddy. He goes everywhere with me including work and we're pretty tight.
That about covers it.
Cool joint y'all got here. It's already answered a few question I've had.

Hello,
Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
A Trucker, "into motorcycles, guns, my dog, and Women."
Yup. Just like every other Trucker I've ever known. Except most of them leaned toward Caddies.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Caddies are ok but they don't really trip my trigger. Never owned one either. I am and always have been a GM guy tho. Back in the day, it was hotrod GTOs, Chevelles, Camaros, Firebirds, you get the picture. Chevy and Pontiacs.
Lately tho it's mostly been Pontiac Bonnevilles. Sort of a luxury/sporty car not unlike the Jag really. Nicer version of the grand prix. That 3.8L GM had forever was a real solid 6 banger. Just sold one with over 200,000 miles on it the day I bought this XJ8. Still going strong too.
