Default New XJS HE member...

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to all of you. I have been a lurker for a while now and finally decided I had better join properly.

I have owned a 1983 Jaguar XJS HE for about 8 years or so now. Early on it ran pretty well but had a few minor issues (speedo not working, power steering leak, blows dash fuse when put into reverse [but it done gently was OK], those sorts of things).

I religiously went out every month and started up the car but unfortunately a "critter" built a nest in the engine compartment in between my start ups (I had the car parked on the side of the house in the backyard under a 10x20 tarped awning) and the car wouldn't start (smelling of gas). That was about 3 years ago.

So now I have a project car to work on.

I look forward to reading through the posts and picking up knowledge as I work on getting the jag in better shape.

I absolutely "LOVE" the look of those V12 engines.
