Default New XJS Owner

Purchased a XJS V12 a few months ago in New Zealand

Leaks horrendous amounts of oil, needs a manual conversion, rear brakes done, new wheel bearings, leather front seat covers replaced

In other words, all the usual things

Will post photo's once completed

Hi there mobileman ... greetings and salutations from an Aussie neighbour;

Wow, you are surrounded by some beoootiful Jags over your way ... although many I know are across the little ditch in and north of Wellington. It sounds like your XJS is destined to become another. May I suggest you jump over and shout "hello" at the Australia/NZ regional section of the forum. Those of us from the western island of NZ (y'know across "the ditch"), tend to get a bit rowdy at times, but don't panic ... we don't bite ... and anyway, we've just found out that the rowdiest of us all still calls himself a Kiwi.

You will find there is quite a bagful of experience here across our region and a few local gurus who have played long and bravely with the mighty (and sometimes not so mighty) V12s. Dive in and enjoy ... and we look forward to your photos.

Best wishes,
Ken

Welcome to the forum,photos of it as it is now are just fine(and when its finished).
I think I might be the rowdy one Ken is referring to... from Tauranga,NZ. But have been in Brisbane longer than I lived in NZ.
I have enough oil leaks for the whole country.

Thanks for the generous welcome guys. Didn't realise there was a separate NZ/AU forum - so will plug into that also

Looks like there is a pretty active Jag club in my area (Nelson) and will be joining that also

Next big project is the manual conversion on the XJS - will post a separate post for this

Thanks again

K
