Hi all, First Jaguar! Have owned too many BMW's and still own a E46 330I and a 2007 Z4M Roadster.
I just bought a 2004 XJ8. Have always loved how these cars looked. I bought it from a finance company that repossessed it. It has 126,000 miles and I paid $4000, however I later discovered that there was some back registration due!
It has knocking from right front which I diagnosed as the front right upper control arm which is on the way.
The car has a vibration from front through the steering from aprox 50mph to 65mph. I don't want to start with tires or wheel balance till I get control arm replaced. If anyone wants to share ideas feel free to do so!!!
The car also is a little rough shifting from 1st to 2nd. Have some read some posts so I guess a transmission service is due!
The car came with no owners manual which I will have to buy!! however can anyone advice if the car came with Bluetooth? I see phone buttons!

All Jaguars come with the phone controls on the steering wheel and audio headset fitted but very few have the expensive Bluetooth equipment fitted. A Jaguar dealer will be able to tell you from your VIN if your vehicle is BT equipped.
