Newbie Checking in

Hi Everyone!

I'm here to learn more about the Jaguar breed. My friend and I are trying to get a 1996 XJR into shape. I'm hoping to find some good info on the car and it's maintenance.

I'll put up another thread shortly on the issues we're tackling.

Welcome, X300s have been one of my most fave Jags ever built . A well maintained one should serve you nicely as well

I don't know my Jag models very well. Is a 96 XJR considered an X300 by enthusiasts?

Hi and welcome!

Yes, you're an X300 and your engine is referred to as an AJ16. This is about the sweetest inline 6 Jaguar ever built. I find it regrettable they only produced this engine for 3 years.
