Smile Newbie Intro

I bought the 2.5 X-Type for my wife. We don't have gobs of money and 2003 this was actually a practical choice. She wanted to be comfy and I wanted her in AWD. We live in a hilly snowbelt outside Seattle.

Now, (at 100K miles) it's time for her to get another car. That means I finally get to play with this car.

That also means, I have to fix it. I am not a mechanic by any means...which is why I found the forum. You folks have already helped with the spark plug replacement thread...looks like I will wait until the warmth of spring for that job. Thanks all !

So, I am a newbie with an entry level car with only basic skills. I will be around for a while; I keep my cars forever. The X-type will not replace my '97 Probe. It will be in addition to.

I hope to contribute when I find something that another newbie will appreciate.

...and I promise this will be my longest post ever -john

Welcome aboard John!

Hope you join us at a few of our gatherings next summer.
Seems our Pacific Northwest crew is slowly growing, and our drives are becoming pretty popular! Would enjoy a chance to see your X-Type, and have you join in when you can!

Keep your eyes on the PNW section for happening stuff!

Vince
