Talking newbie in snowy ontario

nearly out of winter! way up in muskoka
looking at a 94 jag convertible 6cyl
any general things to look for
top would NOT go down, so presuming a switch as apparently it did
owned by proverbial little old lady 9and husband), 130k km
one spot of rot 2-3" long on pass front rail... looks like someone tried to jack up on the floor

anyway.... have owned many an oddity but the jag is another level again (where DO you get extra keys!!)

(have owned probably 60-80 cars... want to settle down to one as the final one as it were... from yugo, fiat, saab, volvo, renualt, vw (and that is just the euro ones!)

thx
gord

Welcome from a fellow Canadian and Ontario resident. There's certainly a lot of us here.

Here's a link to the XJS tech section

XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

I'm sure the experts there will point you in the right direction.

My sig has a link to the Canadian regional section if you want to see what's going on in the area. Some big shows will be coming up in the GTA and National Capital region over the summer.

60-80 cars??! Wow!
I got my extra keys at a lock shop. The local hardware store nor WalMart didn't have the blanks.
