I’ve been watching the forum since last fall and became fascinated with the XKR. (Call it late life Crisis). I’ve owned an E-Type Roadster, XK 120, Roadster, and a MK4 over the years and wanted to step into the new millennium. The contributors helped set my sights on an O4-06 XKR because of the classic styling and lack of a lot of the earlier maintenance issues, and the fact that the Prince of Darkness Electric Co. is no longer involved.

After a winter of reading the Forums and searching for the right car, I pulled the trigger a few weeks ago. I was lucky to find an owner in driving distance that took care of it like a child. An XKR Drop Top with 14K miles from new, parked on the Office Carpet and never exposed to Salt, Sand, Snow, Rain or Hot sun. The underside shines like the body and the big bonus was it has all the right goodies. Big BBS wheels, Drilled Brembos with the Red R Calipers, Black Recaro Interior. He had just installed new tires as the 10 year old Pirelli’s weren’t giving it a satisfactory ride.

Thank’s folks for providing all of the insights in your posts. I hope to be come a contributor myself. I live between Buffalo, NY and Rochester and would like to meet anyone that has an XKR in the area area .

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
