Hi everyone. Just bought my first ever Jaguar . Been looking for a while and took the plunge. It's an xj portfolio. 2013 with the 8 speed gearbox.Unfortunately has gone back to the dealer for repair after only 3 days. Restricted Performance Issue. Local mechanic diagnosed a split inlet manifold . Question is . Should I get dealer to replace both banks and agree to make a contribution to the second bank .

Welcome to the forums Paul,

I'm suprised to learn there are dealers open in Great Yarmouth. They have all been shut for weeks up here.

Do you have the 3.0D? Reports of splits seem to be getting regular on these. Replacing the other one could be unneccessary expense but certainly worth having them check it as there's a lot of labour involved if it does go in the future.
