Potential 2019 Jaguar XE Prestige Owner - Florida
Hello All!
I've been lurking on this forum for a while and researching Jaguar's as I'm in the market. I was a former 2012 Lexus IS 250 owner, loved it, but another driver decided I shouldn't drive that car anymore and totaled it.
In any case, I'm in love with the 2019 Jaguar XE's (despite the scary depreciation & reliability stats for the Jaguar brand), and see some great deals with the Prestige trim on used models. However, the lights don't have the Adaptive Xenon Headlights w/ LED Signature. I love DRL's and is mandatory for me. Would the dealer be able to install the lights for me after I purchase and not void any part of the warranty? I can get the Prestige with Headlights, but it costs about $9k more which I'm having a hard time justifying.
From what I've been reading about the XE, the only year where user's are reporting issues is the 2016. Are there any issues with the newer XE models (2017+)? I've also been reading the Jaguar brand has been more reliable in recent years? Is that true as well?

Thanks for the welcome! The Jag really is a great looking car & I'm excited to own one. Does anybody know if the Adaptive Headlights can be installed by the dealer after the car is manufactured? I really appreciate the help!

Anything is possible given sufficient desire and money but I suspect that would be a very expensive upgrade.

Yes it does sound like it would become like quite a complex upgrade. I think I'll just have to try and negotiate for the lights then. Thank you!
