Hey everyone, my name is Bobby and I'm from Westchester County, New York. For the past two years I've daily driven my NC Miata. This is one of the most fun cars I've ever owned. With headers, high-flow exhaust, coilovers, swaybars, mechanical LSD, etc. it's a hoot to drive. My issue in winter isn't traction (snow tires + LSD=traction) but ground clearance since the coilover install. I started looking for a practical, reliable AWD vehicle to use in winter and as a daily commuter. Options like first-gen MDX, RX300, G35x were at the top of my list.... until I spotted an X-Type.

I dismissed the X-Type early on due to everything I've heard/seen with Jaguar. A local Subaru dealer had a black on black X-Type 3.0 sitting up front, so I decided to pop in and take a look. After a test drive, I found myself wanting the car. I waited 24 hours, the urge was still there and I called to make an offer. My offer was accepted, though I told them I'd only take the car if they fix the clunk in the rear and vibration on the highway (you can see my other posts about those issues). I'm going for a ride-along with the mechanic tomorrow and hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it.

So here I am, a possible-soon-to-be Jaguar owner.
