Default Proud new member from the great white north!

Greetings from Alberta, Canada.

Proud new owner of an 2007 XJ8 Vanden Plas 4.2L

I am an Ironworker/Steel Erector, former Network Admin/IT specialist of 10 years and aspiring limousine driver. The move from IT to Ironworking made sense to me because after 10 years of doing it I just wanted to hit every computer I saw with a sledgehammer, now I get to swing one all day!

Long story short: There was a Merc, a BMW and a Jag all competing for my affections. I fell for the Jag like the girl next door while Mercs/BMW's seemed like trashy bimbos.

In the month I had pondered, I'd seen ONE x350 on the road, and man did I stare, I stared until that car was out of sight. I saw countless BMW's and Mercs, they just started to seem like dime a dozen luxury cars to me.

That ***, those lines, the shape of the car, but the longer I stared, the more I thought, it just grew on me more and more, the thing that's hard to explain about a Jag is it looks so much better in person...

I just go to the garage to smoke, and look at her. I will ask friends if they need a DD, offer to do car related errands for the wife, just for the excuse to drive.

You don't need an excuse to drive a Jaguar, you need an excuse for not driving it.
Wish I could drive mine right now lol.
Enjoy what the rest of us do.
Welcome to the forum

Boy Howdy, ain't that the truth!

There is a Mystique about Jaguars that, as you say, is hard to put into words. But you're managed quite well.

Welcome from ElinorB.
