Rear DVD player No Video but Sound 2005 Jaguar VDP

I have a 2005 Jaguar VDP, and the rear entertainment DVD Alpine Player will not show video. I can see the video image when I push menu button on back of head rest. I see how to make bright contrast change image type etc.. but video as movie is playing doesn't show image. I also plugged an external DVD player in Video aux in and video image shows. just not via rear DVD player. all wires are connected and not loose at all. I don't play it often been in storage the entire winter
