Lightbulb Returning to Camelot, or at least Coventry

Having previously owned 3 XJ-S's, 2 Lotus (es?...) and a few MG Midgets over the years, I thought I had permanently moved away from the British Leyland La-La land until some incredibly lucky and wise Craig's Lister accepted my impulsively tendered low-ball cash offer for an aging and long in the tooth Coventry-born Texas Cougar. She had a nice figure, topless, shiny war paint makeup, pretty chromed shoes and only a few wrinkles in her sun-cracked cow skin complexion. In the spirit of an Obamacare public health clinic check-up, I required a current State Inspection Cert of which she passed. Of course she hadn't eaten for days (gauge on "E" ) and I hastily let her eat some 87 octane junkfood which promptly gave her a check engine light tummy ache after a little spirited driving home on the I 90 G W Bush tollway......so here we are online..... lookin for a little technical love in what looks like the right places......

Awesome welcome! Just got back from O'Reilly's with a new bare bones OBD ii and it seems I've got some algebra homework to do with alpha-bit-n-byte soup of DTC codes (over 10!) to decipher, so I really appreciate the forum access upgrade !
