Default Rook!

Hello all! New to forums but I've been trolling the past few weeks doing my research on the '09 XK convertible I just purchased. So far I love it!!

One perplexing issue I've encountered is an audible "low battery" warning I've received twice in the past few days. The Porsche dealer i bought it from (trade in) is installing a new battery this weekend so hopefully the little voice goes away.

My concern is that neither my local Jag service department nor Jag of N. America ever heard of this. They only know about visual dash warnings (aka dummy lights). Jag NA said they'd look into it but I'm not holding my breath. Nothing online or on this forum that I could find.

Anyone ever hear of this? I changed the key fob battery last night and didn't drive the car today but I doubt that's it. BTW, no dash warnings or lights came on either time.

Thank you!

Welcome to the Forums.

Voices, oh boy, NO idea.

Most weird happenings on Jags is mostly related to "aftermarket" something. Followed closely by the battery, you have that sorted.

Since tihis is not the place for Tech discussions, I will leave it at that.

The Members in the XK (X150) Tech Section may have more/better suggestions.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Glide63,

I can understand a Porsche dealer may be unaware of the issue (and also the correct procedure for battery replacement) but for Jaguar North America to make such a claim is ludicrous.

You've clearly already found your way to the X150 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
