Default Selling a Jaguar in France

Hello All, This is my first time on this site but my father was a regular user. Unfortunately, my Father died in June after a short illness and my Mother has now decided to sell his 2007 Jaguar XJ Sovereign TDVi as it is too big for her to drive. The car is currently in France where they lived. The car is on English plates as my Father did not complete the re-registration due to his illness. Ideally my Mother would like to sell the car in France to avoid having to drive it back to the UK. Can any one suggest any suitable places to sell this car in France? I trust this kind of question is allowed on here. Thank you in anticipation of anyone that can offer any advice.

Welcome.

Sorry for you the loss of your Father, never a good thing.

The people that know will slide in when the planets align a tad better and offer the correct advice, as I am way too far away for any accuracy.

Welcome to the forum cjst,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Sorry for the loss of your Father.

You don't mention whether the X350 is RHD or LHD. If it is RHD then it will be difficult to sell in France. Several members have gone through the process of re-registering UK vehicles in France and other mainland European countries. It is a bureaucratic process which takes time and persistence. There is also the time limit for which you can continue to keep and use a UK registered vehicle in France. Check the Europe Region forum https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ for advice.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
