Hi all, MTD here.
for awhile now I've been a lurker on these forums. I generally don't participate in forums that much. I finally decided to ask for help. I've rebuilt the title car from the carcass of an 86 and the engine and drive of a 83. I've been learning all kinds of things about Lucas electric... I won't go into a tirade I promise.
Anyway, I'm in Columbus OH and almost done with my rebuild. I've become fairly familiar with the wiring code and conventions now... Scary thought.
However, my engine is idling rough, and I'm a bit nervous that I may have miswired my engine. I'll be posting my problem in the relevant subsection... As soon as I figure out which one that is. I got the engine from a previous owner who kind of butchered the wiring. I've cleaned most of that up by now. However, none of the wires are the right color for my ignition relay systems. Anyone that can advise me, once I post... The help will be appreciated. Here are a few project photos.
