Default SOS system limited functionality.

Hi everyone,

as a new member after the purchase of an f type 2018 two weeks ago, haven’t done a lot of miles and the warning sos has come on. It does go out for a short period of time when you press the ok button.

can anyone advise if this is a must to get fixed and is it an mot failure ?

many thanks
Alan

Welcome to the forums Alan,

Almost certain to be a partially discharged battery. Modern Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition and state of charge. When not driven daily, most of us keep them on a CTEK maintainer. MoT regulations will result in a fail for any instrument pack warning illuminated after the start up check has completed.
