Thumbs up Thanks to the Forum

Have been a guest for a year and appreciate all the info on overcoming the little puzzles of Jaguar ownership. I've owned Jaguar Cars since moving to San Diego, California 36 years ago. My current love is a 2003 XK8 with 100k, the fifth car I have owned, the others being a 1976 XJ6, 1982 XJ6, 1991 XJ40, and 1998 XJ8. Again, thanks for the helpful posts.

By now Jaguar ownership should be genetic, you've owned them for so long!

Welcome to the forum sdbill,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Unusual to see an XK8 Coupe in CA.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default Thanks Again!

To all who have welcomed me, particularly Moderators and Coordinator. I appreciate all the useful info and links. I will get to completing the updating process this weekend.

Even though I live in Southern California, I drive an XK8 Coupe because I am using it as a daily driver, and, at my age (70+), I need all the visibility possible to cope with the ever-increasing free-for-all that is the California "driving experience". Have often thought of buying a convertible as the weekend car, though - just need to find a place to put it.

Have been through an episode of PCV failure, oil in the throttle body and intake manifold and still cleaning up from it. Hard to believe how much better the car runs with a new $40.00 PCV damper/valve and how I went so long without replacing it. If there is not a service bulletin on this one, there should be.
