I took my Baby to the Jag dealer who diagnosed me needing a new throttle body. 2100.00 just for the part. I thought ok maybe I can have someone who knows what they doing to clean the dang thing and of course they had a line for that saying It is not recommended you try cleaning as this is not going to cure your problem. I found a reman online and they agreed to put it on for me at a fraction of the price. What is my best solution to get my baby back to running properly? Can anyone give me some ideas? Not knowing what the dealership found but you must assume they are telling you the truth. Do you know the what and why they felt it needed to be replaced? Do you have the codes that the dealership pulled? Cleaning the TB is not a problem if you use throttle body cleaner. If replacing it is the only way I can tell you that you have another option and that is having it rebuilt, I recently had mine rebuilt and it is running great. The attached links should help with the cleaning and rebuild but you need to tell us why you think it needs replacement in order for us to help.

Tell me more... How much for this part? What vehicle did it come off of? Is this one w/air assisted fuel injection?
