Total new guy to Jags
Hi. I am the service manager at an automotive shop in Virginia. One of my existing customers, knowing I have barely worked on European cars, asked me if I could check out his Jag.
It's a 1988 XJS V12. It has the common problem that I've already seen on here a dozen times. A leaking gas tank.
All in all the car is in fairly good shape for being 30+ years old and I have 20+ years experience as a mechanic. My biggest problem is that I have no idea how this fuel system works. I am honestly debating if installing a fuel cell would be easier.
Thanks in advance for all the help!

Hello,
You have come to the right place for answers! The guys in our XJS section know these cars probably better than the Factory did.

Welcome to the forums Huff2679,
Good to have you with us. You chose the most complex Jaguar to get started with the marque.
I know you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-mid-atlantic-65/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
