Turning theory into practice.
Hello everyone!
I’ve been lurking, researching, comparing, and what if-ing for months now. I’ve read through many of these threads, watched how-to videos, shopped online for parts, and quizzed local mechanics before I even had a potential vehicle lined up.
Monday, I finally jumped in and we bought the car I’ve wanted for a long time. Over the next day and a half we drove 1,100 miles across four states to bring it home. Full disclosure, there were some concerns and a couple of tense moments.
Now that she’s home, the title of this post comes into play and the “catching up & sorting out” begins!
Glad to be here,
Paul

Congratulations on your first Jaguar and on DRIVING IT HOME. I'm often amazed at how many US buyers have a vehicle delivered if it's even just out-of-town. Good to hear you found useful information here to assist with the research.
As you've already found your way to the XJS forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Paul,
Congratulations on your new XJS!
And, Good Job driving it home! There's no better way to learn exactly what a Jaguar needs/wants than to take it on a long trip. It's your first Bonding Experience. Future ones will come as you resolve those concerns.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
