Default What can I say...

Names Scott, 28, small time scrap metal dealer bases in North East england. (UK)
Bought my car to scrap as it needs sills but drove it home and fell in love with it!
It's a 2005 S-type V8, clearly needs a little work doing to it but she will get there.

Noticed a few problems on the drive home...
1. Heaters only blow hot even when on cold but doesn't overheat.
2. Restricted performance which is throwing a code up for knock sensors.
3. Handbrake fault on dash. Nothing happens when you press the button.
4. Knackered battery most likely off sitting around for awhile.... Possibly throwing some of these faults up as I know they suffer with rubbish batteries!
5. Height for drivers seat doesn't adjust, common fault like the mondeos? Brass cog wearing?

Anyways here's a picture.

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge. Very nice looking car, BTW. It does need a proper "leaper" though... lol.

You are correct, start with a good battery and see if some of the error codes will clear. The constant heat situation is usually caused by the DCCV which defaults to a "full on" when the climate control valve fails.

Thanks for your comment, unfortunately she won't be getting a leaper, although they are the prominent feature on these cars I personally aren't a fan of them.
