White smoke from tailpipe
Hello,
In spite of advertising to the contrary, Radiator Stop Leak is not a good idea for modern engines as it not only might stop a radiator leak, but clogs small coolant passages in the engine and radiator.
"White smoke" is usually steam and indicates coolant entering the combustion chamber somehow. Members of our XJR section will be able to give you a more detailed answer. Someone will be along shortly to direct you there.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums jaydeuce,
Exactly what Elinor has said. If you have coolant loss on an XJ, you need to find and repair the cause because overheating can rapidly destroy a Jaguar engine.
