Unknowingly posted first intro in Canada sub-forum; here it is now in newbie area.....
After a lot of consideration over the years, we finally dove in and joined the Jag generation. Found a skookum good deal on a '96 VDP.
Just got home.
This is the first time I have driven a Jag ( I have owned a number of Porsche's, BMW's and even some BL cars over the decades) After a 3 hour drive home, I can say "I GET it!" I understand why folks can get so passionate about these cars.
Over the years I read many car magazine articles about "sense of occasion" or "wafting along quickly but unhurried" and "gravitas" but this is the first out of many dozens of cars I have owned that really proves those statements.
Good choice of model for a first venture into Jaguar ownership.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-xj6-xjr6-x300-26/ to the X300 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. No need for a link from me to Canada Region forum as you have already been there.
Hello, Ken,
Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
Yes, we do get a bit Passionate about our "mere machines" sometimes.
As for me, Incorrigible and Unrepentant Tom Boy that I am, this car makes me feel like a Lady!
