I have a 2000 XK8 I picked up in December, 2008 with 88k miles for a good price. The previous owner spent $20K in his previous four years of ownership, incluidng the chain tenisoners. I think I got a good deal.
This is our weekend escape car to Carmel.

The only issue I have not resolved is the demister grill area where the top material separates and the demister grill hits the windshield.

I plan to add ipod attachment and hands free phone device.

Welcome Steve. I hope you enjoy your "new" car. My XK8 is doing the same thing with the defrost vents rattling on the windshield. I haven't come up with a permanent solution but if I pop them up and then back in, it usually cures it for the day. My car was originally a Florida car and, although it was garaged most of the winter, this was the first year that it saw temperatures in the -20 F range. I think that contributed to the problem for me.

 

I have a 2000 xk8 without factory radio and I have been pouring over all the threads on installing a Parrot blue tooth and I have a couple of questions.
Has anyoune been able to install a Parrot for model year 2000 with the 10 pin white connector?
As I look at the wiring schematic it looks like I need to have cellular telephone control module to enable the wires in the white connector.
