Default Yet another proud new owner

Hi everyone, getting to 74 is hard! So felt I should sell the Aston Martin, mainly because of young guys looking at me driving and visually thinking: "what a waste of car with that old git". Anyway driving it was like taking a greyhound for a walk - we always ended up racing and now I have 14 points on the license. Senior management wanted the walnut and leather interior without the neck snapping ride, so obviously a Jaguar saloon is the solution! We were so lucky in tracing a deceased estate sale and secured a gorgeous virtual mint condition one owner low mileage 2006 model in midnight metallic black and ivory leather. Now, I may be old, but my memories of outstanding finished Jaguar saloons all had contrasting vinyl roofs making them really special. here in Australia where we now live (and there is no salt on the roads so cars last longer), there is a problem because no one does old fashioned vinyl roofs anymore. In fact an old roofer fitter looked at it and said the mouldings around windows do not lend themsleves to tucking vinyl under. So we are going down a new route modern vinyl 'wrap' but with a photographed old vinyl 'crinkly' appearance. Watch the forum as I'll post details as they arise. I was also wondering if members might suggest what they feel is the best looking alloy wheel replacement for the stock rims? (some idea of source would be appreciated too). It was interesting to find that we can actually order wire wheels for these models! If this forum is as good as the Aston Martin owners forum, I'm home and dry as they are so useful and helpful to the owner. So, I'll raise a glass of Cabernet Merlot to you all in anticipation of a long and pleasant association. Glad to be on board.
Kind regards
Peter and Doreen Briggs
