I had a red 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio that I purchased new in the summer of '86 and sold in the autumn of '92. A real attention-getter on the roads in those days. But in the six years we had it, we only put about 15,000 miles on it. I couldn't justify keeping it any longer, plus, at 6-foot-7, I was really way too tall for the car. I couldn't really drive it comfortably with the soft top up or the hard top in place....

Several months ago I stumbled across some photos I took of that car after I had spent a morning detailing it. Still a real "looker", in my opinion....

I have a 1962 Giulietta spider with a 1750 GTV engine, webers, headers, etc. Nut and bolt dismantle and restoration completed about 1992.

Lots of fun!

One of my workmates has 2 Alfas (A Spider and a Milano)

We used to keep a whiteboard in my office to track what had went wrong and how much money we had spent on our car fleets (I have 2 Jags, an XJR and an XJS) After 6 months and over 10k USD we wiped the board clean as it was getting depressing !!

His CA license plate for the Milano is "FIXD AGN" which kind of says it all :-)

late to this thread...

I had two, a 1991 silver Spider Veloce and a 1980 Spider Veloce that was converted from the ground-up into a track car. The latter is still active around the NE and Midwest tracks with her owner and has been pictured in several magazines.

The photo below was before I sold her and she still had a windshield...

Keep looking to get one - There is an Alfa guy nearby. Just waiting for the right one to come around. Just sold my 2002 Maserati.

I test drove a Giulia QV recently and was very impressed. Good candidate for my next daily driver.
