Nice bike. Yeah1300 CC anything should do wheelies, shaft or otherwise. I've got a PC 800 Honda water cooled V twin, and it's shaft drive. And while it doesn't do them with ease. It will do first pretty easily, and lift it a foot or so when you bang second. It will sure embarrass a 1200 Sportster. And when I get to the corner I can drop down and scrape the foot pegs with very little trouble. God I Love my bike.
Had it running up to 4000rpm. Seems ok.
I will get the right size battery so I can fit the air box then take it for a ride to see how it runs and how the clutch is.
Definitely an improvement. Looks Good, and should be quite a performer. I worked at a Suzuki dealer back in about 1980. We had just gotten a new in crate, GS 1050 E It was the first stock motorcycle to break the 10 second barrier. I believe it went 10.98 in the 1/4 mile. I had worked for Kawasaki before this so was quite accustomed to "Liter" Bikes, I was about 135 lbs so I sure wasn't holding it back. I put it together and serviced it out, and took it for a test ride. We had a marked 1/4 mile just out of town. I rolled up to the line just fast enough to keep form falling over. I revvved it, and dumped the clutch it shot forward smoking the rear tire, I short shifted to second, then third. I went past the 1/4 mile mark, smoke was still coming off the rear tire, I hit 130mph at the marker, and still had 2 more gears to go. I decided right then, and there it was a lot more motorcycle then I needed at the time. (I was only 20) I got a lot braver as time went on. But man what a motorcycle. It was the smoothest, and yet most brutal motorcycle I had ridden at the time. The most brutal bike I've ever ridden was a 1990 Yamaha V Max. I believe it was 145 HP. On 2 wheels 6 feet apart. WOW!!!

If I just had to guess, you tried one of those smoky burnouts on the Zuki as the center of the rear tire shows a nice clean abrasized patch in the center???
Where in the heck did you find that! LOL! that's about the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Having been in the Motorcycle game since 1977, I remember things like this. People just don't realize the tremendous leaps, and bounds the Japanese have made in their understanding, of the English Language. As once upon a time it was very crude, and misspoken. As noted by the Safety rules you just listed. Wow what a refresher course. LOL!!!!

Hey Guys I'm looking for a needle in a hay stack! LOL! Seems like I always want the most odd ball damn thing there is. Well I'm searching for a 1988 or 1989 Honda NX 650 here in the USA. It's the same basic bike as an XR 650. It just has a sport fairing, and some body work, It's prettied up a little compared to the XR 650. They still produce it overseas? or at least they did for a long time past 89. It's called a NX650 Dominator.
I want one complete and functional. Doesn't have to be the prettiest thing as long as it's all there, and runs decent. Not looking for a museum piece, as I'm gonna try, and ride the **** out of it! NADA says it should be worth $2190.00 in excellent condition. I've found a couple which are very nice, but still not museum quality, and people still want $4000.00 plus for the dang thing! I figure if I could find a nice one for $2500.00 or less depending on condition, I'd be happy. Any Ideas would be appreciated. I know there's a lot of people on this site, and a lot of you have bikes. If you could help a guy out it would be appreciated.
