I just realized I never posted a picture of all 3 of my bikes. These are the 3 bikes I actually "wanted" out of all the one's I've owned.

Nice, all Honda.
I owned one Honda and never grew to like it. VF1000.

When that Pacific Coast came out, I drooled over it. After some time, though, it's lost its appeal. Mainly because I do my own work, and that fully-enveloping bodywork is just... in the way!!!

That's the sweet part of the PC, about all I do is change the oil. It requires almost no maintenance? In the last 15 + years I've had the plastic off once maybe twice? I was initially scared of the plastic myself. You can remove 75 % of the plastic in about 15 minutes, and then can get to everything. I've tuned it up once, no valves to adjust as they are hydraulic, new air filter twice, changed oil every 3000 miles, on it's 3rd battery from new, oh and I put a taller windshield on it. Other then that, checked the rear end, and flushed the brake, and clutch fluid once, 3 tires on the rear, 1 on the front, and that's about it. Has just under 30 thousand on it, and rides like new. Been a great bike. My wife doesn't ride much anymore due to anxiety issues, so it kinda takes the fun out of a Nice road bike. Thus the other 2 LOL!

Jack

PS the V four Honda's never had a great appeal, way over hyped as the next big thing, but they were to heavy, and clumbersome for sport bikes.

XJR wouldn’t fire up, Error code saying “lean angle sensor activated”. Apparently cuts engine when bike is horizontal. Has to be reset by Yamaha or buy a $900 diagnostic tool. In the dealership now so they can get it running.

The 2008 front end I bought for $400 arrived, busy couple of weeks ahead.

Wow 400 Bucks! you sure as heck can't beat that. How bad are the shops? Most of us here in the USA, wouldn't take it to the shop for nothing, if we could get away with it. But since the advent of all the electronics. It's almost a necessity, as I don't know if there are Scan Tools / Tuners / Programmers??? I know Harley has them, and the more I think about it, I'll bet the others do as well. It's just something I haven't had to deal with yet.

Lean angle sensor has to be reset by dealer?!?!? All I have to do on my FJR is turn the key off! It's been on its side 5 times, 3 of which were kind of like crashes, the other two just parking lot drops, with the engine already off. In the crashes, nothing hurt except some paint and my ankles (I've never seemed to be quick enough to get my foot out from under the bike on the way down...) Anyway, lift the bike, key off and back on, fire it up and ride away.

Jack, I haven’t taken a bike to a dealer apart from tyres for many years. $$$$$ I bet.
The braided lines that came connected to the calipers are almost worth that new.

Tried that over and over, google came up with no answers that worked. Called the dealer and off it went to get sorted. Bike hasn’t been started for 16 months.
Found since that it could also be an air intake temp sensor. There is a broken connection I have no idea where it belongs.
Dealer can sort that then I can get on with my stuff.

Lean angle sensor reset, air intake sensor needs replacing ($68), no fuel pressure. The dent in the tank that turned my ***** black broke the internal fuel pump off ($700) and dent in tank has to be repaired to refit the pump......but I got a tank out of Sydney today with a fuel pump and very little damage for $125 so it is now on its way to Caboolture Yamaha. Should have the bike back home running mid next week.

So was it the dent that turned your ***** black, or did your ***** cause the dent? Much respect if the latter!

I made the dent in the progress of breaking my pelvis.
Dent certainly wasn’t there earlier that day.

Don’t you just hate ******* who tell you parts are in good condition 5hen you get this. Buying online has hiccups. Some bits butchered, one off an MT09.

Over 2000km and 3 states with border closures, bad luck I guess.

I guess that wasn't eBay, because that would clearly qualify for buyer protection as not-as-described?
