Default Car history, or at least some of it....

Had a little time to play and thought I'd share a few of my past rides, don't have pics of all of them on the pc unfortunately, but a few highlights of fairly ordinary cars owned over the years I guess, but loved them all....(mostly)

A few company cars come to mind...
Vauxhall Astra SXI around 6 months and approx. 28,000 miles ( no pics )
Toyota Camry for a few months and 9,000 miles ( no pics)
Audi 80 1.9 Tdi for around a year and 53,000 miles This was a great car, reliable and good looking in its day, solidly put together too

Peugeot 309 1.9GLD
This was my company car from new, a 1.9d little dog of a car as I seem to remember some journalist calling it. Got it from new with 7 miles on the clock and she went back 3 years later with 196,358 miles
I was doing serious mileage as a sales rep at the time. She was in and out of quarries all day long, up hill and down dale, ragged along the motorways and never let me down once.

VW Golf 2.0TD I think it was, solid little run around for a wee temp slot

Rover 400, uninspiring to say the least, short term car, only for around 2 weeks

Vauxhall Vectra, another temporary car.....Must have been around Christmas as I used to sometimes decorate the car for the kids when they were young, they loved it, lol

Vauxhall Vectra - not one of my favourites, the company insisted so we had about a dozen, various bits falling off them here there n everywhere.
I only had it for about 20 months or so and put a tad over 110,000 miles on her.
Once drove it from Glasgow to Bolton with no clutch...lol

Early Ford Mondeo 1.8TD, Had one in red for 3 years and put 160,000 miles on her, great little workhorse replacing the Sierra around that time

Loved the Ford brand in general and the Mondeo in particular, never let me down

Ford Mondeo in Silver 2.0 Tdci Zetec for about a year and just a little under 50,000 miles ( no pics )

Ford Mondeo - had about 5 or 6 of them as company cars, this was a brief ownership and put around 22,000 miles on it, no issues, very reliable workhorse

Saab 1.9 Tdi remapped to 175bhp, great little car and loved it, just got too small as the kids grew, 2 years and 81,000 miles before trading in for the Audi A6
Always remember going out to work one day in the Saab and coming home later with the Audi, the wife was surprised!!!

Maybe not the best car history in the world ever, not the worst either I guess.

Between all of the above cars, a lot of them as company cars doing stellar mileage, plus private ownership for my wife and myself from time to time, hire cars etc etc......
I've travelled well over 1M miles in a little over 24 years, probably more than most will travel in a lifetime.
Thanks for looking

What about yours??
