The new Jaguar, lol
Same, but here's the thing. It's not (just) the car brand being politicized. Instead, it's so many folks' identity and person now. They have been so manipulated into thinking everything is political and that they should hate and argue incessantly with people that don't believe 100% of what they believe. It's sickening and sad because it's just not true. Probably for the better part of my life until about a year ago. And you can tell how cultish both sides are when you are the odd person out for being independent -minded. Those on the political rights and lefts Don't know how to deal with someone like that. Alas, since cars are a part of life and they've made life = politics...here we are.

People don't even have their own opinions. They follow outrage media and immediately saw people (who get paid to generate outrage) calling the ad "woke" and immediately started regurgitating that without even asking: Is this woke? What is woke? Why is this ad "woke"?
It's not woke. Is it a silly ad? Sure. Is it woke? No. Not unless you consider that any ad that has minorities in it is "woke"
But if someone is the type of person to see paid actors in a commercial and decide that because they are minorities then they don't like it, and it is "woke" then I'm glad they're self-identifying
1000%

Not shocking…They knew they’d be cooked if they didn’t get sensible it would seem…

I got to about 1 1/2 minutes of the Volvo ad and went back to something interesting.
That ad had nothing to say to me "buy this car", but then again, I am not or will ever be in the market for a NEW car.
Jaguar's ad didn't offend me in the least, but it certainly confused the crap out of me.
The Tele Tubbies were not something I was ever exposed to but I did recognize them.
We probably will never again see intelligent advertising like the VW ads of the 1960s.

Odd that the Chinese, & Indian executives, would do such a thing, to themselves.
Usually very smart in their business ventures.
Are they trying to kill the brand??????
Could drive the resale value of our models back up.
The last year of standard Gold Wings 1984, sat virtually unsold.
Until deeply discounted.as an unsold past year model
No one wanted them then, just try & buy a nice one now

IMO: agree with most comments here, seems the misguided Jaguar leadership has not learned the lesson from the Bud Light marketing disaster! Alienating and dismissing your core customers is always a huge mistake. And going fully EV is not the current direction that makes overall sense. Sure, some people (probably not true Jaguar enthusiasts) will buy whatever new costly vehicle they produce. However, in the long term moving away from your legendary soul will ultimately cost you dearly.
I am sooo glad that I own a classic Jaguar and hopefully it appreciates even more
