Star trails
Star trails over McDonald Observatory at Mt Locke, near Fort Davis, TX - one of the pictures from my West Texas and New Mexico winter road trip with the Jag.
Still can't figure out how to kill the noise though .... This one was done in ISO 100, for about 15 min exposure.
Will provide detailed write up of the trip starting tomorrow ... too tired, just got back about an hour ago ....

I've never played around with star trails, but I would think 30 minutes would be better (trails twice as long) and set the aperture to get the correct exposure.
Your biggest enemies in the way of a good shot are tripod vibration, wind, etc. Sandbag that baby down, and keep the legs short and stiff.

Hmmm....I'll start by saying I know less than nothing about photography, and would apologise for being here, but, I like the nice pics.
