2005 S-Type Factory Radio + Audio Connectivity Module Available
Hi,
I have a removed factory radio and a Jaguar Audio Connectivity Module (ACM) that I removed from my S-Type if anyone is interested - the original/factory speakers too but they're fairly rubbish Ford base things. The radio and ACM work fine.
The ACM provides iPod connectivity by pretending to be the CD Changer on the optical D2B network and I believes only works if you DON'T have a CD Changer. To install, you might have to have the CD Changer "activated" on the head unit - and this can be done using the IDS (by a dealer or Jag Tech). Both work fine (have radio code). I removed both to install an aftermarket radio that provides Bluetooth and SiriusXM.
The ACM has an AUX In, iPod and MP3/USB reader, the controller box installs behind the factory head unit and the connector installs in the center console under the armrest.
Let me know if you need/want - otherwise they're heading to eBay.
I'd post pics but they are both at the cottage...

Do you have factory navigation? I did not think you could have the ACM with out it?
Are you replacing the factory navigation? It controls the climate control system which has always been the stopping point when trying to upgrade the factory unit.

No - I don't have the factory navigation. The climate control is separate from the factory radio head unit. The ACM works fine without the factory nav.

I'm more than interested, as I have been using an FM transmitter to play my music...
