laptops
So I work for a malpractice insurance company in the IT sector and I keep stumbling on really great deals on used laptops. The average price is $200 for a really great laptop running windows 7. I have been selling these to family, but wanted to open the doors to you guys as well just to see if anyone was remotely interested.

The general specs are 15.6" screen, 1-2 gb or ram, 1.6.2-8ghz processors (some are dual cores,) and they all have around 100gb hard drives (they aren't for running CAD or for gaming but they run office, internet, and media services flawlessly.) The only problem is that I had NO idea that so many people would want laptops. I had 15 laptops two days ago and as of right now I have one left. I will probably get more soon, but I don't really have any ready to ship right now. I seriously had no idea how many people were in the market for reasonably priced laptop. If you would like me to keep you in mind when I get more, just let me know and I will let you take first dibs on the next batch!
Reasonably priced laptops will always be popular, especially those that are above board.
For a long time now I have been rebuilding obsolete PCs and giving them to elderly people or families with kids and no money.
I can't buy them to start with, but put the time in to sort them out before giving them away. Always great to see that smile and maybe hear that little Johnny is now doing better at school.
Wish you were over here. Supplies are pretty thin at the moment.

translator, what you do is exactly what I used to do except I found that if I give them away free then some come back to me with broken screens, destroyed hinges, and clogged fans in less than a year. If they pay a reasonable amount, they will be careful with their investment and I haven't had to fix one yet! I do give some discounts to people who really don't have any money and they are very thankful. I'm glad to hear that someone else is helping out aswell!
bassmania, I think I will either one or two acer travelmates within a week or two, but I think I might also pickup some dell d820's in a little bit.

Update: will have one inspiron e1505 with 2gb of ram and a dual core 1.86ghz running windows 7. Battery status and hard drive size are unknown for awhile, but I will sell it for around $200. The price will probably go down, because I'm not 100% on the computer or the condition, but that's just the maximum price for the computer.

another update: I will have a toshiba satellite l355d up for grabs as well. This will be more expensive because it is a very nice computer $240. 17.1" display, AMD dual core, 2gb of ram, 60gb hard drive (upgrade it to 250gb for $45.)
Again, prices will change depending on the condition of the laptop and what not.

jag breeder, I don't sell desktops because shipping would cost about 100% of the cost of the computer which is just illogical.
Valium, take your time. I still don't have the computer yet so you've got some time to make a decision. I am still going to offer it locally though.

I've also got an hp 6910p running windows 7, 2.0 ghz intel dual core, 1 gb of ram, and an 80gb hard drive for $160. It's the same computer that I use because it's unbreakable, light, and has a really amazing processor.
your best bet is New 15.6" Laptop LCD Screen for Dell Inspiron M5030 LED Glossy | eBay
it's less than $60 to get it shipped to your door and a screen is fairly easy to replace. The only thing that you have to watch is that the connectors on the screen that you are buying match the placement of the connectors on your current screen. Sometimes the same dell screen can be set up with connectors on the left or the right which really messes up some people. If you need any help with removing the broken screen and installing the new one I would be glad to help!
