03 S-Type R "HELP" !!!A/C Problem!!!!!
Hi everyone OK this is my problem I got a 2003 S-Type R my front left and right and the rear back vents is blowing hot air when I turn on the A/C and the front middle vent is a lil cold but not as cold as it should be. So I took it to a shop after it got the A/C recharge it was doing the same thing so I took it to another shop that work's on Jags they put it on the machine and told me it was the heater valve and auxiliary water pump so I got those change and it still does the same thing. PLEASE HELP me if you had the same problem know what it is Thanks
Could be the matrix box, the evap temp sensor or the evaportor, or the climate control module. Without physically being there, impossible to tell. Best bet, especially being an R, is to go to the dealer and at least get it diagnosed properly. Then decide what you are going to do to fix it.

hey, mike
behind this dash there is a box with all the a/c flaps on it and evap sensor bolted on behind the dash its called a/c chamber, its possible the one of the flap it stuck on the heater position and thats why your getting heat. you will have to take off the dash to replace this.

Have you tried taking your air off AUTO by turning the fan dial.
I have an 04 S and live in Hawaii... so I never turn the air off.
I had a problem with it blowing hot air when it would start up but would cool down after a time
took it to the dealer in Honolulu and they could not find a problem.
of course after the warranty was up it started to do it all of the time and lasted for longer periods.
I turned the fan dial which turns the auto off... killed the engine and started it and god bless the jag god there was cold.
Occasionally I do go back to auto and it works for a time...
Mine I am sure is in the climate control... but I'm cool;-)
good luck...
