Hello,

We've noticed our car knocks/rattles from the rear area whenever we hit a bump in the road.

I know the rear tie-rods are both badly worn at the rubber boots.

It's something i'm now prepared to investigate if anybody can point me in the direction of solving...

Brittle bushings somewhere?

Ht Lenny. Check through the forum search feature for related topics. Get under the car (not jacked up) and look around while someone pushes up and down.

 

Hi Len - I believe the rattle or "squeaking" could be coming from the rear control arm bushings or the shock bushings.

Or ARB bushes. Don't think they're readily diagnosed except by hand-to-hand combat with the actual car
